Laces are a hazard on the line and a small daily nuisance that keeps costing time. The FLASH 3300 BOA replaces them with a finely adjustable dial that works one handed. Underneath sits a light mesh low shoe that Atlas certifies to EN ISO 20345:2022 as S1 SR, with resistance below 100 MOhm to DIN EN 61340-5-1.
What the shoe delivers
- S1 under the current edition of the standard. Atlas certifies this model to EN ISO 20345:2022. S1 still means a closed heel area, antistatic construction, energy absorption in the heel and a toe cap rated 200 joules and 15 kN. What changed is slip resistance: it is now a basic requirement, and the additional marking SR stands for the extra test on ceramic tile with glycerine.
- Charge dissipation to DIN EN 61340-5-1. The shoe ties the wearer into the personnel grounding of the EPA. Atlas guarantees a resistance of less than 100 MOhm measured by the person shoe floor method. The plain antistatic requirement of EN ISO 20345 allows anything between 0.1 MOhm and 1000 MOhm. Component protection depends on the tighter figure, because only that prevents a discharge when someone picks up an assembly.
- alu-tec aluminium toe cap. The anatomically shaped cap meets 200 joules of impact and 15 kN of compression to EN ISO 20345 while weighing markedly less than steel. That pays off with every step and keeps the centre of gravity further back. Aluminium behaves differently from steel thermally and does not form a noticeable cold bridge into the shoe.
- MPU INNOFLEX system with MPU REBOUND. The sole assembly guides the load along one natural line of force, the INNOFLEX LINE, from first to last ground contact. Large tread areas made of energy absorbing MPU material take up the impact and return it into the next step. Anyone covering kilometres on concrete across a shift notices the difference by the end of the day.
- Mesh upper and aktiv-X functional lining. The high tech mesh wraps the foot closely and still lets air through, the open texture of the fabric keeps air moving instead of trapping heat. The aktiv-X lining regulates moisture, dries the shoe out quickly, does not stain and resists abrasion.
- BOA Fit System instead of laces. A finely adjustable dial, extremely strong lace cords and low friction guides replace the lacing. The fit can be tightened with one hand, gloves on, and released in a single pull when needed. No lace ends to catch in rollers or conveyors. The shoe is approved for orthopaedic insoles under DGUV rule 112-191.

Areas of use
Electronics production and board assembly, test and repair benches, laboratories, assembly and order picking on dry floors. Wherever conveyors or rotating parts are involved, the lace free closure pays off. For wet conditions S2 is the class to choose, and for penetration hazards S1P or S3.
Standards and conformity
- EN ISO 20345:2022, safety class S1, slip resistance SR. Aluminium toe cap (alu-tec), tested to 200 joules of impact and 15 kN of compression.
- DIN EN 61340-5-1, ESD compliant. Resistance measured by the person shoe floor method is less than 100 MOhm. The antistatic requirement of EN ISO 20345 is wider, between 0.1 MOhm and 1000 MOhm.
- PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, risk category 2.
- DGUV rule 112-191, suitable for orthopaedic insoles. The marking inside the shoe is what counts.
