In a production hall in high summer the footwear question is decided by the climate around the foot. The FLASH 1600 is built open, weighs little and is still a class S1 safety shoe to EN ISO 20345:2022. For the ESD workplace Atlas guarantees a person, shoe and floor resistance below 10 to the power of 8 ohms, that is below 100 MOhm, measured to DIN EN 61340-5-1. The wearer is discharged in a controlled way before the charge can reach an assembly.

What sets this model apart

  • Class S1 to EN ISO 20345:2022 means a 200 joule toe cap, a closed heel area, antistatic construction and an energy absorbing heel. The open build saves weight and heat without giving up any of those four points.
  • alu-tec aluminium toe cap tested at 200 joules of impact energy and 15 kN of compression. Aluminium weighs less than steel and forms no cold bridge into the shoe.
  • Two hook and loop straps instead of laces. The sandal is on and off in seconds, which saves time every day where footwear is changed often.
  • High tech mesh upper with air texture, plus the clima-stream concept and the aktiv-X lining. Air circulates, moisture is balanced, the foot stays cool.

Areas of use

Electronics manufacturing and test benches in summer, assembly and workshop work in warm halls, stores and picking inside the EPA, laboratory and clean areas without water on the floor. Where sharp objects may lie on the ground, specify a penetration resistant model of class S1P or S3 instead.
