ESD Safety Low Shoe A 280 S2 in Sneaker Style, Soft Cowhide, Black - Atlas 97800

Not every ESD workplace calls for a heavy boot. The A 280 from the Atlas Sneaker Line is a light low shoe with a steel toe cap to EN ISO 20345 tested at 200 joules impact energy and with a water repellent upper of protection class S2. As an ESD model Atlas keeps the person-shoe-floor resistance below 100 MOhm to DIN EN 61340-5-1.

What sets this shoe apart

• Dissipative to DIN EN 61340-5-1. For its ESD models Atlas guarantees a resistance below 100 MOhm for the person-shoe-floor measuring chain. The wearer's charge drains through the sole into the dissipative floor instead of discharging into an assembly.
• Steel toe cap to EN ISO 20345, tested at 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. The protection is the same as in a heavy work boot while the look stays that of a sneaker.
• Protection class S2, which adds a water repellent upper to S1. Spilled coolant or a wet shop floor does not soak straight through the leather.
• Soft full grain cowhide. It needs hardly any breaking in, stays supple and is padded at the heel and along the collar.
• Sneaker sole technology with an MPU midsole. Light, flexible and sporty in cut, plus the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM that absorbs impact energy and returns it into the push-off.
• The aktiv-X functional lining regulates temperature and moisture, resists abrasion and does not bleed colour. After the shift the shoe dries out quickly.
• Width 10, the broad and foot-friendly standard width from Atlas. Anyone needing more volume will find alternatives in the manufacturer's multi-width system.
• Released for insole fitting according to DGUV rule 112-191. An orthopaedic insole may replace the footbed without voiding the type examination.

Standards and conformity

• EN ISO 20345, protection class S2. S2 means closed heel area, antistatic properties, energy absorbing heel region, fuel resistant outsole and in addition a water repellent upper. Puncture resistance is not part of S2.
• DIN EN 61340-5-1 for the ESD workplace. The shoe is the middle link in the chain of person, shoe and floor and only works together with a dissipative floor covering.

• DGUV rule 112-191 for insole fitting.
