The TS 438 sonotrode has a 38 mm radiating diameter and is designed for homogenizing, dispersing and cell disruption of larger sample volumes. It transmits the mechanical vibrations of the ultrasonic transducer directly into the sample and is thermally stable, autoclavable and resistant to corrosive media.

Applications
The TS 438 is used in the lab for homogenizing, dispersing, emulsifying and cell disruption of larger volumes. Sample volume, vessel diameter and the desired amplitude determine the choice of device and sonotrode type. A high amplitude means particularly intensive sonication.
The sonotrode connects to a stepped or booster horn, here the SH 400 G for the HD 4400 generator.
