Description
Operators moving around an ESD protected area cannot wear a wrist strap tethered to a bench. Grounding footwear or foot grounders then drain the charge through the dissipative floor. The Desco 17222 toe grounder is worn at the toe of the shoe and contains a 1 megohm resistor that limits current in the event of a fault.
Key benefits
- Grounds the operator through an ESD floor, also while walking.
- Built-in 1 megohm resistor for current limiting.
- Worn at the toe of the existing shoe.
- Complements heel grounders or ESD shoes in a personnel grounding programme.
Applications
Personnel grounding in ESD protected areas with dissipative flooring, for example in production, warehouse and order picking. Function is checked before work with a footwear tester such as the Desco Combo Tester X3.
