Coiled Cord, 10 mm Socket to 10 mm Socket, 1 Megohm Each End, Yellow, 1 to 2 m - Desco

These yellow coiled cords connect a wrist strap with a 10 mm stud to a ground point that also has a 10 mm stud. Each of the two 10 mm sockets contains a 1 megohm current-limiting resistor. The cords differ only in length, so the reach can be matched to the workstation.

Applications

Personnel grounding at ESD workstations in production, repair and test, as a replacement or spare cord for existing wrist straps. Connect the cord to an earth bonding point (EBP), never clip it to the edge of a mat.

Standards

The current-limiting resistor at the band end follows IEC 61340-5-1 practice and the IEC TR 61340-5-2 user guide. Test band and cord together regularly with a wrist strap tester.
