This black 3 m coiled cord with a 10 mm socket and 4 mm banana plug has no built-in resistor. It is meant for ground paths where the current is already limited elsewhere, for example by an earth bonding plug with 1 megohm per terminal. The extra length gives freedom of movement at large benches or test stations.

Standards

IEC 61340-5-1 personnel grounding relies on a current-limiting resistor in the ground path. With this cord it must be located elsewhere, for example in the earth bonding plug. Verify the ground path regularly.
