EBP Bar with 3 x 10 mm Stud, Yellow, 1 Megohm per Connector, 3 m Ground Cord - Desco 231275

The EBP bar brings the connections of an ESD workstation together in one place: the wrist strap coiled cord, the bench mat and a third item such as a trolley or a guest connection. Each 10 mm stud is linked to ground through its own 1 megohm resistor. Should part of the workstation become live, the resistor limits the fault current to less than 0.3 mA at 240 V.

Applications

Fix the bar to the bench edge within reach of all ground cords, but where it is unlikely to be knocked or to hinder the operator. Connect the ground cord to a suitable earth.

The bar serves as a common connection point in line with IEC 61340-5-1, bringing personnel and ESD control items to the same potential.
