Single ICs, sensors or small assemblies need a shipping container that protects against electrostatic discharge and mechanical shock at the same time. This Desco Protektive Pak shipper comes with inside dimensions from 64 x 32 x 25 mm to 178 x 89 x 25 mm, all with a 25 mm inside depth. With the lid closed it acts as a Faraday cage that keeps charges on the outside, with discharge shielding below 10 nJ per ANSI/ESD STM11.31.

• Discharge protection: buried shielding layer in the board, discharge shielding < 10 nJ with the lid closed.
• Cushioned on both sides: pink dissipative foam (13 mm, Rtt < 1 x 10¹¹ ohms) in the lid, black conductive crosslinked PE foam (6 mm, Rtt < 1 x 10⁴ ohms) in the base.
• Dissipative surface of 1 x 10⁶ to < 1 x 10⁹ ohms per ANSI/ESD STM11.11 for controlled charge decay.

Meets the required limits of ANSI/ESD S20.20, packaging standard ANSI/ESD S541 and worksurface standard ANSI/ESD S4.1. ANSI/ESD S541 requires packaging for transport outside an EPA to offer low charge generation, dissipative or conductive material for intimate contact and discharge shielding, and this shipper covers all three.
