Conductive ESD Box with 6 mm HD and FX Foam, Internal Sizes from 75 x 51 x 14 mm to 230 x 128 x 30 mm - Desco

Populated boards, ICs and loose components need packaging between workstation, stores and customer that protects them mechanically and does not build up charge. The Desco boxes in this range are made of black conductive polypropylene at 1 x 10² to < 1 x 10⁵ ohms per IEC 61340-2-3 and cover internal sizes from 75 x 51 x 14 mm to 230 x 128 x 30 mm. The base holds 6 mm of high-density HD foam that accepts component leads, while 6 mm of soft FX foam in the lid cushions the parts from above. Choose the internal size to suit the part.

Applications

Transport and storage of ICs, sensors, connectors and flat assemblies inside the EPA, between protected areas, in field service and when shipping to customers, as IEC 61340-5-1 requires for ESD packaging.

Standards

The boxes meet EN 61340-5-1 and the packaging standard IEC 61340-5-3, which requires conductive packaging to have a surface resistance below 1 x 10⁴ ohms. Testing is per IEC 61340-2-3.
