ESD Circuit Board Shipper with Foam, 102 x 102 to 559 x 381 mm - Desco

Populated circuit boards and assemblies need to stay protected from electrostatic charge on their way to stores, customers or repair. This Desco Protektive Pak shipper is made of impregnated corrugated fibreboard: a conductive layer is buried inside the material and the surface is static dissipative. The shippers come in sizes from 102 x 102 x 54 mm to 559 x 381 x 76 mm. A foam insert holds the board in place and absorbs shock.

Standards

The shippers are part of the Desco Protektive Pak packaging range for ESD protected areas per ANSI/ESD S20.20. For transport outside an EPA, ANSI/ESD S541 calls for dissipative or conductive contact material and discharge shielding, and a closed shipper is the basis for that.
