Serrated Kevlar cutter with breaker notch, for fibre optic cable up to 3 mm - IDEAL 45-344

When terminating fibre optic cable, the aramid strength member is hard to cut cleanly with ordinary scissors. The 45-344 trims it with serrated edges and, using the breaker notch, cuts complete cables up to 3 mm diameter in two steps.

Usage notes

• Complete cable in two steps: cut and break jacket and glass fibre with the breaker notch, then trim the aramid strength member with the serrated edges.
• When only trimming the aramid, use the fine serrated edges only.
• Always wear safety glasses when working with fibre and dispose of fibre debris safely.
• Periodically clean the inside surfaces of the blades with a soft cloth.
