Robot soldering tool with N2 connection for the 200 W QUICK 378FA soldering station. Under nitrogen the joint oxidises less, the solder flows more evenly and the tip lasts longer. For automated soldering of demanding assemblies on QUICK robots.

Frequently Bought Together

Running high quality series on a soldering robot means fighting oxidation at the tip and on the pad. The 9018BMT soldering tool answers that with its own N2 connection, feeding nitrogen straight to the joint. It is driven by the 378FA soldering station rated 200 W, the station built into QUICK soldering robots.

What the tool offers

  • Built-in N2 connection, so the protective atmosphere forms right at the tip instead of somewhere above it.
  • Less oxidation on tip and pad, which improves wetting and the optical inspectability of the joint.
  • Matched to the 200 W 378FA station, so thermal behaviour stays comparable with the rest of the robot program.
  • Soldering tips of the QU911G series are available for this tool, among them wedge 4.0 x 1.0 mm and notched chisel 2.0 x 2.0 mm.
  • Fits the QUICK soldering robots ET9494F-A, ET9494E, 9584EYA, 9594FYA and ET9181.

Applications

Automated soldering of connectors, cables, sensors and printed circuit boards wherever lead-free alloys and high process temperature drive oxidation. It also suits long runs, because the tip ages more slowly under nitrogen.

Compatibility

Nitrogen operation needs a gas source as well, in the Quick range the QU9039 generator. Without process gas the same robot uses the 9018M tool, whose heating element is stocked as spare part 9018.
