When an extended flat tip cools too quickly on thick copper areas, cross section is what is missing. This version therefore uses a 1.9 mm end thickness, 0.2 mm more than the otherwise identical 8.0 x 1.7 mm variant, with the front face tinned as well.

Aimed at large area joints with a high heat demand such as ground connections, flat terminals and heavy stranded wire on recessed contacts. Fits the 9018M and 9018BMT soldering robot tools and therefore the ET9181, 9594FYA, ET9494E, 9584EYA and ET9494F-A robots plus further models of the range. Supplied as a single tip.
