In robot soldering with wire feed the result is decided the moment the wire meets the tip. The QU911G-16DV1-05 carries a notch in its 1.6 mm chisel edge, so the solder stays where it was placed instead of sliding off, and the tapered shank brings the 0.8 mm thin edge to joints sitting between tall neighbouring parts.

What the geometry delivers

• The notch in the edge takes up the fed solder wire, so the alloy melts exactly where the robot placed it.
• Chisel width of 1.6 mm suits medium pads, connector pins and through-hole leads without heating the neighbouring joints.
• Edge thickness of 0.8 mm lets the tip enter pin rows on a tight pitch.
• Tapered shank, which keeps joints reachable next to electrolytic capacitors, connectors or shielding cans.

Fits the 9018M and 9018BMT robot soldering tools and therefore the QUICK ET9181 SEMI-AUTO single axis robot with wire feeder, the 9594FYA and 9584EYA four axis robots with two tables, the ET9494E and ET9494F-A four axis robots and further models of the range. Where a joint calls for more heat, the same series offers the notched QU911G-20DV1-04 at 2.0 x 2.0 mm, and without a notch the QU911G-16D at 1.6 x 0.6 mm. Scope of delivery: one soldering tip.
