A Quick 3104 reaches 350 °C in roughly 39 seconds and works at 80 W. As long as the electronics run, a cracked front shell is no reason to buy a replacement unit. The grey housing front at 0.11 kg restores the case and leaves control, calibration and memories untouched.

Points to note

• The manufacturer lists the front as 3101 although it belongs to the 3104 station, so a search for 3104 alone can miss it.
• Grey to match the production finish, the case stays uniform after the repair.
• Weight 0.11 kg, a small parcel item that stocks well next to other 3104 spares.
• The station controls from 100 to 450 °C with three fixed temperature keys preset to 200, 300 and 380 °C. A housing swap changes none of this.
• The ESD design of the station is retained, ground resistance below 2 ohms and tip to ground below 2 mV.
