When a joint refuses to come up to temperature, what is usually missing is contact area rather than power. At 2.4 mm this SS1 tip puts noticeably more face on the work than the 1.6 mm version and gets ground planes, stranded wire ends and multi-pin connectors through in a single approach.

Features

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

For wiring, cable assembly and rework on boards with large copper areas, used on the QUICK TS1 cordless iron rated 10 W over 100 to 420 °C. Scope of delivery, one soldering tip. On finer pitches the 1.6 mm chisel or one of the conical shapes in the SS1 series is the better choice.
