In through hole assembly the solder has to rise through the barrel. The TSS08-2.8DU01 keeps a drop of solder in its 1.3 mm hoof shaped hollow, which makes contact between lead and pad immediately and carries the heat through the liquid phase.

Intended for THT assembly and rework on plated through holes, on pin headers, terminals and connectors with several contacts in a row. The tip fits the QUELKTSS80A iron of the Quick TS8 and TS8+ stations. Supplied as one cartridge tip without iron or station.
