When a wide joint sits between flat components, a thick chisel fails on height alone. The TSS08-4.2D01 therefore keeps the 4.2 mm width but uses a blade of only 0.5 mm, roughly half the 0.9 mm version, and slides flat beside or under the neighbouring part.

Operating benefits

• Blade thickness of 0.5 mm, the flattest blade in this range, suited to narrow gaps and low component clearances.
• 4.2 mm chisel width, the contact face stays large enough for wide pads despite the thin blade.
• Short cone behind the face so heat keeps flowing in spite of the slim geometry.
• 5 mm of pre-tinned length, the whole working zone of the blade is wetted.
• Thermocouple inside the cartridge, which matters exactly on a thin blade with little mass of its own.
• Calibration chip, the individual value stays with the tip and is adopted by the station.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Suited to rework on densely populated boards, to terminals under flat housings and to wide pads with little room above them. Scope of delivery, one cartridge soldering tip. It runs in the QUELKTSS80A handpiece on Quick TS8 and TS8+. Where more thermal storage is needed, the 0.9 mm version of the same width is the choice, and the change within the TSS08R series happens on the same handpiece.
