Long lead rows on connectors need a tip with plenty of contact area that still fits between the pins. The TSS08-3C01 offers the full ellipse of a 60 degree grind on a 3 mm diameter and carries solder along 6 mm of pre-tinned length.

Operating benefits

• 60 degree grind, the ellipse seats over a wide area while the iron can be held more upright than with a 45 degree face.
• 3 mm round section, the solid body stores heat for pads tied to ground planes.
• 6 mm of pre-tinned length, the largest wetted zone among the round bevel shapes in this range, and it feeds the drag.
• Tip and heater as one unit, so the thermocouple measures right at the working face and corrects as you touch down.
• Calibration chip in the cartridge, the individual value belongs to the tip rather than to the station.

Application, scope of delivery and compatibility

Suited to headers, SOIC rows, wider pads and tinning stranded wire, wherever contact area and solder volume matter. Scope of delivery, one cartridge soldering tip. It runs in the QUELKTSS80A handpiece on Quick TS8 and TS8+ and interchanges freely within the TSS08R series. For finer work the same geometry is available at 2 mm diameter.
