Rows of terminals and long contact edges need a working face that can be drawn in one movement. The knife shaped edge of this cartridge, bevelled at 45 degrees, is 8.0 mm long, and behind it sits a heat reservoir formed by the heavy tip body, fed by the 300 W rating of the TSS10 range.

What the geometry does

• The 8.0 mm edge covers several terminals in one pass instead of approaching every pin on its own.
• Two ways of working in one tip, the edge for guided drag soldering, the flank for wide heat transfer.
• The heat reservoir in the solid tip body holds temperature when several joints draw heat in quick succession.
• 300 W version for high heat demand on tabs, connector contacts and solder lugs.
• Tip and heater form one unit in the TSS10 range, on the Quick TS10 roughly 3 seconds to 300 °C are possible, reference is the 1.6 mm tip.
• Thermocouple inside the tip and a chip storing the calibration value keep the station reading comparable after a change.
