Wide joints want contact area, dense assemblies want a thin blade. This cartridge combines both through a ratio of 3.0 mm chisel width to 1.0 mm blade thickness, fed by the 200 W version of the TSS10 range.

What the geometry does

• The 3.0 mm contact width covers through hole leads, board connections and stranded wire in a single placement.
• At only 1.0 mm the blade keeps the entry dimension small, so the tip can be laid flat against a lead.
• Compared with the 1.6 mm chisels of the range almost twice the width is in contact, so heat reaches the joint sooner.
• 200 W version for fine to medium heat demand in continuous use.
• Tip and heater are one unit in the TSS10 range, on the Quick TS10 roughly 3 seconds to 300 °C are possible, reference is the 1.6 mm tip.
• Thermocouple inside the tip and a chip holding the calibration value keep the station reading comparable after a change.

Applications

Through hole parts, board connections, connector contacts, cable terminations and stranded wire in workshop, service, assembly and rework. Delicate work is more accurate with the 1.0 and 1.6 mm shapes, cable lugs and ground planes call for the 300 W versions with greater chisel thickness.
