Convection preheater 3 zones, 300 x 420 mm, 4 kW - Reeco RE-PHA3

Large assemblies cannot be warmed evenly from a single heating surface. If the component sits at the edge, the centre is long past temperature. The RE-PHA3 splits its 300 x 420 mm area into three separately controlled zones, so the temperature profile follows the layout of the board.

Heating is by convection, each zone spreading hot air through 44 outlets. The setpoint reaches 350 °C per zone and is held to ±5 °C, and the ramp is program controlled so the assembly is not heated in one jump. Airflow is adjusted steplessly from 0 to 100 percent.

Three external thermocouples measure where it matters. The display shows setpoint, actual temperature and airflow for each zone along with the three thermocouple readings. Together with the RA-250E hot air station this makes a complete rework bench.
