Description
An oxidised soldering tip no longer takes solder, heat transfer to the joint suffers and the tip wears out faster. The Weller LS25 salmiak stone removes this oxide layer: rub the hot tip briefly over the block and the ammonium chloride reacts with the oxides, exposing a tinnable surface again.

Application notes
