Soldering tip conical 0.4 mm SSC 600 series - Metcal SSC-645A

Temperature sensitive components do not tolerate an overheated tip. The SSC-645A cartridge of the SSC 600 series uses Metcal SmartHeat induction technology and holds the tip temperature constant at 357 °C, controlled by the Curie point of the heater layer instead of a sensor.

Applications

Fine soldering on SMD components, rework on densely populated boards, single pins, vias and wire ends, and repairs where there is little space between joints.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The cartridge plugs directly into the MFR-H6-SSC handpiece and therefore suits the Metcal MFR-1160 and MFR-1161 soldering systems as well as the SP200 system. It can be changed during operation without tools and reaches working temperature within seconds. Scope of delivery is one SSC-645A soldering cartridge, order unit piece.
