Where solvents, adhesives or cleaning media outgas, a particle filter alone does nothing. The ULT ACD 400.1 in drive version MD.17 controls the airflow steplessly up to 1,000 m³/h, with a nominal operating point of 300 m³/h at 2,500 Pa. Two A14 adsorption filter cassettes holding 14 kg of activated carbon each bind the odour and pollutant load, while an M5 filter mat retains coarse dust upstream.

Description
Gases, vapours and odours from bonding, cleaning and coating processes can only be taken out of the air by adsorption. The ACD 400.1 is therefore built as a pure adsorption unit: an M5 filter mat holds back coarse dust, then two A14 adsorption filter cassettes with 14 kg of activated carbon each bind the molecular load. The filter design is matched to the nominal airflow of the unit so that contact time is long enough for good adsorption behaviour.

Applications
Bonding and laminating, pretreatment and cleaning, painting and printing, casting and potting. The highly purified clean gas can be returned to the workroom in recirculation mode, so no heat is lost. Recirculation is not permitted for carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances. In those cases the optional Ø 160 mm exhaust port is fitted on the outlet side and the clean gas is ducted into a central exhaust system.
Compatibility and scope of delivery
The unit comes with filter configuration A28: change frame with M5 filter mat (ULT 4-01006), M5 filter mat as a spare (ULT 4-00210) and two A14 adsorption filter cassettes (ULT 4-00861). For gas mixtures ULT offers configuration AC39 with two AC19 cassettes of 19 kg activated carbon and chemisorbent each, and C50 with two C25 cassettes of 25 kg chemisorbent each. Capture elements such as the Alsident System 75 and System 100 extraction arms, DN 80 and DN 100 hoses and mounting brackets are ordered separately.
