Rework tip tunnel for SOIC-14 SMTC series 357 °C - Metcal SMTC-0142

A SOIC-14 can only be removed without pad damage when every lead is molten at the same moment. The SMTC-0142 tunnel tip encloses both rows of leads and works at a tip temperature of 357 °C.

Applications

Rework and repair of surface mounted assemblies, replacement of faulty SOIC-14 devices in electronics manufacturing, prototyping and service benches, and rework on boards where a hot air process would stress neighbouring components too much.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The cartridge fits the Metcal MX-H1-AVA and MX-RM3E handpieces and therefore the soldering stations of the MX series. Delivery is one SMTC-0142 rework tip as a single piece, handpiece and station are not included.
