In SMD production, part-used tape reels pile up and have to stand within reach and protected. This galvanized metal spool rack holds up to 14 spools of 180 - 380 mm diameter and stays conductive at a typical point to point resistance of 10^2 - 10^3 ohm, so charges drain off through the workplace.

Technical data

Application

Staging and interim storage of SMD tape reels at placement machines, setup stations and in the material store of the EPA. The conductive design belongs to the ESD concept of the workplace, with reels and rack at the same potential as bench mat and floor, so charges generated by pulling the tape drain off in a controlled way. Adding 300 mm blocks matches the row to the number of running jobs.
