For heating small 0402, 0603 and 0805 chip components on both ends at once and lifting them in one step you need a cartridge with the right geometry. The SMD rework soldering tip SMTC-188 of the SMTC series provides that shape and works at a fixed tip temperature of 412 °C on the MX-H1-AVA and MX-RM3E hand pieces.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The cartridge works with the MX-H1-AVA and MX-RM3E hand pieces and therefore with the power units of the Metcal MX series. It is changed without tools during operation and needs no temperature adjustment, because the tip holds its 412 °C working point on its own. Scope of delivery: one rework cartridge SMTC-188.
