At pitches below one millimetre every tenth of a millimetre of tip width counts. This conical cartridge measures only 0.4 mm at the point yet still supplies 485 °C for ceramic substrates and joints with a large thermal mass. Fits MX-H1-AVA and MX-RM3E on the MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200 systems.

Description
Very fine joints call for a narrow tip that still carries enough energy. The Metcal STTC-845 is a conical soldering cartridge of the STTC series with a tip width of 0.4 mm, a tip length of 14.7 mm and a tip temperature of 485 °C.
