When the handpiece of a TMT-9000S wears out, only this complete handpiece needs replacing, not the whole station. The aluminium front section carries heat away while the nylon rear stays cool in the hand. It runs on TMT-9000PS, STSS, MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200 and replaces Metcal part numbers MX-RM3E and MX-H1-AV.

Description
The handpiece, not the power unit, is the part of a soldering station that wears out. The SHP-1 is the complete replacement handpiece assembly for the Thermaltronics TMT-9000S and its matching power supplies and ships ready to use with the RMP-1 protection pad for tip removal.

Compatibility and scope of delivery
Works with the Thermaltronics TMT-9000PS and STSS power units and with Metcal MX-500, MX-5000 and MX-5200. Supplied as a complete handpiece set including the RMP-1 protection pad for tip removal, sold by the piece. Soldering tip cartridges of the matching series are ordered separately.
The ESD safe build allows use at benches operated as an EPA to IEC 61340-5-1.
