Adsorption filter cassette A16 lower 16 kg activated carbon 1200 series - ULT 02.1.606

A HEPA filter removes particles but no gaseous components. This is exactly why the ULT A16 adsorption filter cassette sits in the lower filter position of the 1200 series. Its 16 kg activated carbon fill binds gaseous and vaporous air contaminants to the carbon surface before the air returns to the workspace. The filter is designed around the nominal volume flow of the units so that the contact time is long enough for good adsorption behaviour. ULT lists the cassette as replacement filter 4-00399.

Applications

An adsorption stage is needed for processes that develop gases, vapours and odours. On the ACD 1200 these are bonding, pretreatment, painting, printing, cleaning, laminating and casting, on the LAS 1200 laser cutting, marking, structuring and engraving. Activated carbon is not a suitable adsorbent for every gas or gas mixture. ULT uses chemisorption filter cassettes in those cases, so the filter selection should be agreed with ULT.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

Suitable for the ULT extraction units ACD 1200 MD.18 A28 and ACD 1200 MD.18 A60 as well as LAS 1200 MD.18 THA16 and LAS 1200 MD.18 FHA16. Filter module A60 needs three A16 cassettes per unit and runs at a nominal point of 450 m³/h at 2500 Pa. The other units of the series run at 1000 m³/h at 1700 Pa, protection class IP54. Supplied as one A16 adsorption filter cassette in 580 x 580 x 144 mm format. The upstream stages are ordered separately.
