A HEPA filter removes particles but no gaseous components. This is exactly why the ULT A16 adsorption filter cassette sits in the lower filter position of the 1200 series, binding solvent vapours, flux gases and odours to activated carbon before the air returns to the workspace.

Applications

An adsorption stage is required for processes that develop gases and odours, such as soldering with active fluxes, laser cutting and engraving of plastics, and bonding or potting work. Without it these components return into the hall despite an H13 filter.

Suitable for ULT extraction units of the 1200 series, fitted in the lower filter position. Supplied as one A16 adsorption filter cassette in 580 x 580 x 144 mm format. The upstream M5 filter mat and H13 particulate filter cassette are ordered separately.
