ESD Kapton polyimide tape black 12 mm x 33 m - WL48199

Masking connectors before the solder wave demands two things: the tape must not generate charge inside the EPA and it has to survive the process heat. This black polyimide tape from SafeGuard ESD is set to a dissipative level, measures 12 mm by 33 m and resists up to 300 °C for short periods.

Applications

Masking connectors, contact strips and gold contacts before wave soldering, fixing cable looms and thermocouples, insulating conductors, and masking during conformal coating of electronic assemblies.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The 76 mm core fits common bench dispensers and tape holders. Delivery comprises one roll measuring 12 mm wide and 33 m long.

The dissipative surface resistance of 10⁵ ohms meets the requirement for dissipative auxiliary materials in EPA areas according to IEC 61340-5-1.
