The mobile ULT LAS 200.1 MD.20 uses an EC blower with a high pressure reserve for the job. It delivers 230 m³/h at 1,000 Pa in medium-pressure mode and 130 m³/h at 5,000 Pa in high-pressure mode, with a maximum of 320 m³/h and 9,000 Pa vacuum.

Filter build

The laser fume passes several stages. An upstream expanded metal pre-filter of knitted metal mesh acts as a condensation filter, binds cooled aerosols and can be cleaned in an industrial washer and reused. Next comes the pre-filter stage: in filter build K it consists of filter mat G (ISO Coarse 85 % to ISO 16890) and panel filter F (ISO ePM1 70 %), in filter build TK of a pocket filter F (ISO ePM1 80 %) whose large storage volume suits sticky laser fume from organic materials. The final stage is the H14A combination filter cassette with an H14 particulate filter to DIN EN 1822, which achieves a particle separation rate of 99.995 %, and an activated carbon bed that adsorbs gaseous and vaporous fractions.

Recirculation and exhaust air

The cleaned air can be returned to the workspace, and recirculation mode causes no heat loss. Recirculation is not permitted for carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances. For those cases the unit is supplied with a Ø 100 mm exhaust spigot that feeds the clean air into a central exhaust system.

Operation and interface

Controls and indicators sit on the front, all interfaces on the rear. The potentiometer either sets blower speed directly or selects constant vacuum control in one of the two modes. The 8-pole M12 interface provides three potential-free contacts rated 30 V and 100 mA for operating signal, particulate filter nearly saturated and particulate filter saturated, plus two inputs at 12 V and 5 mA for remote control and filter cleaning, and a 12 V output rated at a maximum of 60 mA.

Applications

Laser engraving, marking, welding, cutting, structuring and melting in electronics manufacturing, precision mechanics, tool making and marking technology. Stepless control makes the unit suitable for a single laser workstation as well as for several capture points.

Compatibility and scope of delivery

The top panel offers one Ø 80 mm and two Ø 50 mm ports, enough to serve one to four individual workstations. Connection is made by hose or via a console for arm mounting: ULT 200.1 S50 console (3-00319) for System 50 extraction arms, ULT 200.1 S75 console (3-00320) for System 75, there together with the DN 80 to DN 75 reducer (3-00499). Flexible antistatic extraction hoses are available in DN 50, DN 80 and DN 100, along with bends, sleeves and Y-pieces. Interface accessories include an M12 connecting cable (3-00234) and an M12 on/off foot switch (3-00235), each 3 m long. A U15 secondary filter module (3-01160) with U15 particulate filter (6-11662) can be retrofitted to filter the exhaust air. The EU power cable (CEE 7/7) of 3.00 m is included, versions for Switzerland, the UK and the USA are selectable.

Filter build K: expanded metal filter (4-00301), LAS K pre-filter set in a pack of 5 (4-00604), H14A combination filter cassette (4-00076). Filter build TK: expanded metal filter (4-00301), pocket filter F in a pack of 5 (4-00198), empty frame for pocket filters (4-00079), H14A combination filter cassette with mat (4-00080).
