A broad foot and an orthopaedic insole rarely fit into the same safety shoe. The ERGO-MED 737 XP solves that through width: it is built in width 14, four widths above the standard width 10, and still meets the full protection class S3S to EN ISO 20345:2022 including ESD dissipation to DIN EN 61340-5-1.

What sets this shoe apart

• Dissipative to DIN EN 61340-5-1: the wearer's charge drains in a controlled way through the sole into the dissipative floor. Nobody discharges into an assembly on the way from the bench to the machine.
• Width 14 instead of the standard width 10, four widths more volume across the ball and forefoot. Exactly the case when a broad foot pinches in a standard shoe or an orthopaedic insole takes up the remaining room.
• Steel toe cap to EN ISO 20345:2022, tested at a minimum of 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. The cap is anatomically shaped and does not press on the toes.
• Puncture resistant without metal: the XP midsole made of aramid fabric stops nails and swarf, weighs less than a steel midsole and leaves the foot its natural torsion. Metal-free also means the shoe does not trigger metal detection.
• Full grain waterproof smooth leather about 2 mm thick keeps the foot dry for hours and holds its shape. The abrasion resistant MPU toe guard slows down wear at the toe during kneeling work.
• MPU INNOFLEX sole system: the INNOFLEX LINE guides the force from the heel to the toe, the CLOUDZONE in the heel absorbs the impact and the flex notches keep the roll natural. Together with the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM the stride stays springy into the eighth hour, and the outsole is additionally tested for slip resistance SR.
• Per DGUV rule 112-191 released not only for insoles but also for certified orthopaedic modifications. A shoe technician may carry out sole and heel elevations on this model.
• The aktiv-X functional lining actively regulates moisture, does not stain and is abrasion resistant. After the shift the shoe dries through quickly.

Standards and conformity

• EN ISO 20345:2022, protection class S3S with the additionally tested slip resistance SR. S3S means a closed heel area, antistatic properties, an energy absorbing heel, resistance to water penetration and water absorption, a cleated outsole and a non-metallic penetration resistant insert tested with the 3.0 mm nail. SR stands for the slip resistance tested in addition on tile with glycerine.
• DIN EN 61340-5-1 for the ESD workplace. The shoe is the dissipative link in the chain of person, shoe and floor.
