Metal free class S1P safety shoe with ESD equipment for protected areas to DIN EN 61340-5-1. A high tech composite toe cap and an aramid penetration barrier replace steel completely, without lowering the EN ISO 20345 requirement of 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. Width 10, sizes 36 to 49.

Wherever detector gates, X-ray inspection or cold bridges inside the shoe matter, steel in the shoe is the problem. The C 1805 XP ESD works without any metal and keeps full S1P protection, meaning toe cap plus penetration resistance, together with dissipative ESD equipment.

Why metal free changes the picture

  • XP penetration resistance in aramid. Instead of a steel midsole a high tech textile with aramid fibres is used. It is metal free, considerably lighter and follows the natural torsion of the foot, while covering the same additional requirement P.
  • C-TEC cap instead of steel. The anatomically shaped composite toe cap shifts the centre of gravity towards the middle of the foot and helps prevent trips caused by imbalance. It behaves thermally neutral, so no cold bridge forms inside the shoe. EN ISO 20345 requires every toe cap to hold 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression.
  • Charge drainage in the ESD area. The ESD equipment places the shoe inside the protection concept of DIN EN 61340-5-1. On a dissipative floor the wearer charge drains continuously and never reaches the assembly as a discharge.
  • MPU INNOFLEX outsole system. The INNOFLEX LINE guides forces from heel to toe, the CLOUDZONE in the heel absorbs impact and the large MPU tread areas return energy into the next step. Slip resistance SRC.
  • Climate for long shifts. The mesh upper is air permeable, the aktiv-X functional lining regulates moisture and the clima-stream concept balances temperature and humidity inside the shoe.
  • S1P in plain words, plus insoles. Closed heel area, antistatic, energy absorbing heel and penetration resistant. The MPU REBOUND SYSTEM relieves pressure and the model is approved for orthopaedic insole fitting under DGUV rule 112-191.
