A shoe in standard width pinches across the ball as soon as the foot is built broader, and after eight hours that stops being a detail. The FLASH 1300 is therefore offered in width 12, the extra-wide option of the Atlas multi-width system. Everything else stays the light mesh low shoe in class S1 with an alu-tec aluminium toe cap rated for 200 joules and an MPU INNOFLEX sole that keeps resistance below 100 megohms to DIN EN 61340-5-1.

What the shoe delivers

  • S1 in plain words. Closed heel area, antistatic build, energy absorption in the heel and a toe cap rated for 200 joules and 15 kN. No water-repellent upper and no penetration barrier. Anyone facing wet floors or nails moves up to S2 or S3.
  • Charge dissipation to DIN EN 61340-5-1. The shoe ties the wearer into the personnel grounding of the EPA. By the person-shoe-floor method Atlas guarantees less than 100 megohms, whereas the plain antistatic requirement of EN ISO 20345 allows anything between 0.1 and 1000 megohms. For component protection the tighter figure is the one that counts.
  • alu-tec aluminium toe cap. The anatomically shaped cap meets 200 joules of impact energy and 15 kN of compression to EN ISO 20345, weighs less than steel and shifts the centre of gravity towards the midfoot, which counters tripping through imbalance. Being thermally neutral, aluminium forms no cold bridge into the shoe.
  • Width 12 as a last width of its own. Width 12 is not standard width 10 one size up but a separate, extra-wide last width in the Atlas multi-width system. The length stays the same and the ball of the foot gains room. The MPU REBOUND SYSTEM of pressure-relieving insole plus MPU sole works unchanged.
  • Mesh upper instead of leather. The fabric lets air reach the foot and dries quickly, which is what decides the eighth hour in a heated production hall. The aktiv-X functional lining regulates moisture, does not stain and stays abrasion-resistant.
  • MPU INNOFLEX system with CLOUDZONE. The INNOFLEX LINE guides the forces along the natural line of force from the first to the last ground contact, the CLOUDZONE in the heel cushions the strike, and the large MPU tread areas return energy into the next step. Slip resistance SR.
  • clima-stream concept aiming at 32 degrees inside the shoe. Atlas names 32 °C as the comfort temperature inside the shoe, and a deviation of one to two degrees is already felt as hot or cold feet. A breathable upper, the thermoregulating aktiv-X functional lining and the insole even out the swings.

Applications

Electronics manufacturing and placement, test and repair benches, final assembly, order picking and warehouse work, especially in warm halls and for wearers with a broad foot. Wet conditions call for an S2 or S3 model, and a risk of nails or swarf calls for a penetration-resistant version.

Standards and conformity

  • EN ISO 20345:2022, safety class S1, slip resistance SR. Aluminium toe cap tested to 200 joules of impact energy and 15 kN of compression.
  • DIN EN 61340-5-1, ESD-compliant. Resistance below 100 megohms by the person-shoe-floor measuring method.
  • PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, risk category 2.
  • DGUV rule 112-191, suitable for orthopaedic insoles.

Sizes

Available in EU sizes 36 to 49 in extra-wide width 12. Atlas also lists the same model in standard width 10.
