Between too tight and right there is often only one width step. The FLASH 5400 ESD in width 13 is aimed at wearers whom width 12 still pinches across the ball, and it keeps class S2, ESD equipment and the MPU INNOFLEX sole system of the standard version.

What this model delivers

  • Width 13 for strong feet. Width 13 sits one step above width 12 and creates room across the ball and the instep without letting the heel slip. Widths 10, 12 and 14 cover the rest of the workforce.
  • The charge goes into the floor, not into the assembly. The ESD equipment makes the shoe part of the EPA to DIN EN 61340-5-1. On a dissipative floor the wearer charge drains continuously instead of building up until someone reaches for a board.
  • alu-tec cap, noticeably lighter than steel. The anatomically shaped aluminium toe cap shifts the centre of gravity towards the middle of the foot and helps prevent trips caused by imbalance. Aluminium is thermally neutral, so no cold bridge forms inside the shoe. EN ISO 20345 requires every toe cap to hold 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression.
  • S2 in plain words. Closed heel area, antistatic construction, energy absorbing heel and a water repellent upper. Penetration resistance is not part of S2, which keeps the shoe light.
  • MPU INNOFLEX outsole system. The INNOFLEX LINE guides forces from heel to toe, the CLOUDZONE in the heel absorbs impact, the DYNAMIC PLATES in the forefoot transfer forward energy. Slip resistance SR.
  • SportLine upper. The textile fabric is air permeable and breathable, and its hydrophobic finish also makes it water repellent, quick drying and hard wearing. The aktiv-X functional lining regulates moisture inside the shoe.
  • Cushioning and insoles. The 3D cushioning system combines a pressure relieving insole with a responsive MPU midsole. The abrasion resistant MPU toe guard extends service life during kneeling work, and the model is approved for orthopaedic insole fitting under DGUV rule 112-191.
