ESD Safety Low Shoe GX 90 Women S2, Microfibre, Anthracite Black - Atlas 15900

Most women's safety shoes are men's models calculated smaller, and that is exactly where the fit fails at the heel and instep. The GX 90 comes from the ATLAS WOMEN series and is built on its own women's last. The protection stays complete: steel toe cap with 200 joules and 15 kN to EN ISO 20345:2012 and ESD dissipation to DIN EN 61340-5-1.

What sets this shoe apart

• Dissipative to DIN EN 61340-5-1: the shoe drains the wearer's static charge through the sole instead of carrying it to the next component. This is the basic requirement for an EPA to work at all.
• The last comes from the ATLAS WOMEN series and is calculated for the proportions of a woman's foot, with a narrower heel and a lower instep. A scaled down men's shoe never sits right at exactly those two points.
• Steel toe cap to EN ISO 20345:2012, tested at a minimum of 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. The cap is anatomically shaped and does not press on the toes.
• S2 does without a puncture resistant midsole. That saves weight and stack height and is the right choice where no nails or swarf lie on the floor, for example in assembly, inspection and warehousing.
• SPORTY LIGHT sole system with MPU REBOUND SYSTEM. A pressure relieving insole and light MPU foam absorb the impact and return it into the push off, so the shoe feels more like a sports shoe.
• Water repellent microfibre upper, air permeable, quick drying and hard wearing. Together with the clima-stream concept of breathable upper, thermoregulating lining and Klima Komfort insole, the foot climate stays bearable even on a summer shift.
• The aktiv-X functional lining actively regulates moisture, does not stain and is abrasion resistant. After the shift the shoe dries through quickly.
• Approved for orthopaedic insoles per DGUV rule 112-191. Anyone who wears an insole does not have to fall back on a safety shoe without approval.

Standards and conformity

• EN ISO 20345:2012, protection class S2 with slip resistant outsole SRC. S2 means a closed heel area, antistatic properties, an energy absorbing heel and a water repellent upper. A puncture resistant midsole is not part of it.
• DIN EN 61340-5-1 for the ESD workplace. The shoe is the dissipative link in the chain of person, shoe and floor.
• PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, risk category II.
• DGUV rule 112-191 for orthopaedic insoles.
