ESD safety sandal CL 46 2.0 S1, CleanLine upper, width 10, white - Atlas 24200

White protective footwear is required where hygiene is audited as well, and it still has to carry a safety toe cap. The CL 46 2.0 is an S1 sandal to EN ISO 20345 with an anatomically shaped steel cap for at least 200 joules of impact energy and at least 15 kN of compression, built in bacteria and odour inhibiting CLEANLINE upper material and ESD compliant to DIN EN 61340-5-1. Standard width 10, EU 36 to 49.

What this model delivers on the floor

• The wearer's charge is drained in a controlled way instead of discharging into a component. The shoe is ESD compliant to DIN EN 61340-5-1. For that marking ATLAS guarantees a resistance below 100 megohms across the person, footwear and floor measuring chain, while the shoe standard itself only defines the antistatic band from 0.1 to 1000 megohms.
• S1 in plain words: closed heel area, antistatic build, 20 joules of energy absorption in the heel and a fuel-resistant outsole. Even as a sandal the heel stays closed, only the forefoot area is open.
• The anatomically shaped steel toe cap protects the toes to EN ISO 20345 against at least 200 joules of impact energy and at least 15 kN of compression. That is the full toe protection of a safety footwear cap, not the lower test level of occupational footwear.
• Width 10 is the ATLAS standard width and already cut wider than a common safety shoe last. It fits most of a workforce, which keeps procurement for a whole department simple. Anyone who needs more volume finds the same range in W12 and in the special widths W13 and W14.
• The CLEANLINE upper is water-repellent, bacteria and odour inhibiting and still breathable. That is exactly the combination hygienically sensitive indoor areas ask for. The material is light and supple yet tear-resistant, joined by the aktiv-X functional lining and the clima-stream concept with its Klima Komfort insole.
• Cushioning for eight hours on your feet. The MPU INNOFLEX outsole guides force along the INNOFLEX LINE from heel to toe, the CLOUDZONE in the heel absorbs the impact and the large MPU tread areas return the stored energy into the next step. The 3D cushioning system of pressure-relieving insole and responsive MPU works against the load.

Hygienically sensitive indoor areas, cleanroom and cleanroom ante-area, medical device and laboratory production, pharmaceutical and food environments, and electronics production inside the EPA. Wherever white workwear is mandatory, the floor stays dry and the shoe has to drain charge.

Standards and conformity

EN ISO 20345, protection class S1, slip resistance SRC. SRC means the shoe passed both tests, on ceramic tile with detergent and on steel floor with glycerine. Atlas lists article 24200 with exactly this marking, S1 SRC to EN ISO 20345, without naming an edition. ESD compliant in the sense of DIN EN 61340-5-1, the standard for the electrostatic protected area. Personal protective equipment of risk category II under Regulation (EU) 2016/425, CE marked, EU declaration of conformity available from the manufacturer. Approved for orthopaedic insoles under DGUV rule 112-191, the marking inside the shoe is what counts. Made by the ATLAS shoe factory in Dortmund.
