ESD low safety shoe alu-tec 565 XP S3S, smooth leather, width 12, black/blue - Atlas 34312

Anyone in an electronics plant who not only stands at the line but also walks through stores, workshop and yard needs a closed shoe. The alu-tec 565 XP ESD is a low safety shoe in protection class S3S to EN ISO 20345:2022, made from full-grain waterproof smooth leather about 2 mm thick. The anatomically shaped aluminium toe cap covers the required 200 joules of impact energy and 15 kN of compression, and the penetration barrier works without any metal.

What sets this model apart

• Charge dissipation first. The shoe is ESD compliant and routes the wearer static charge through the sole to ground in a controlled way instead of letting it build up on the body. Inside an EPA to DIN EN 61340-5-1 that is the precondition for no component failing from a discharge on the way between workbench and machine.
• S3S in plain words. S3 covers everything in S1, that is a closed heel area, antistatic construction and an energy-absorbing heel region, plus a water-repellent upper as in S2, a penetration-resistant midsole and a cleated outsole. The appended S in S3S marks the non-metallic penetration resistance of the 2022 edition, tested with the 3 mm nail. That makes the shoe usable beyond the production hall as well.
• Waterproof smooth leather, about 2 mm thick. Full-grain cattle hide is used. It keeps the foot dry for several hours, stays breathable and dimensionally stable and is easy to clean in daily operation.
• Metal-free XP penetration barrier. Instead of a steel midsole, a high-tech textile with aramid fibres works against nails and sharp objects. It is lighter, covers the whole sole area and allows the natural torsion of the foot.
• alu-tec cap and carbon toe bumper. The aluminium cap weighs less than a steel cap and forms no cold bridge. The abrasion-resistant carbon-fibre bumper extends service life during kneeling work.
• INNOFLEX SYSTEM and MPU REBOUND cushioning. The MPU tread zones absorb energy and feed it back into the stride, the CLOUDZONE cushions the heel. The moisture-regulating aktiv-X lining dries quickly, does not bleed colour and resists abrasion.
