ESD Safety Shoe BIG SIZE 735 S3, waterproof full grain leather, width 10, black - Atlas 40100

From size 51 upwards the choice of safety footwear thins out, and inside an ESD protected area it usually disappears altogether. The BIG SIZE 735 ESD covers exactly that gap. It comes in EU sizes 51 to 53 on a last built for large feet, meets safety class S3 and carries the ESD equipment that a protected area to DIN EN 61340-5-1 expects from footwear.

What this model delivers

• A dedicated last, not a scaled up standard shoe. BIG SIZE models are produced on a last shaped for sizes 51 to 53. An enlarged normal shoe makes itself felt at the heel and the ball of the foot by the second shift.
• Charge goes into the floor, not into the assembly. The ESD equipment makes the shoe part of the EPA to DIN EN 61340-5-1. On a dissipative floor the wearer's charge drains continuously instead of building up until the moment the hand reaches the board.
• S3 in plain words. Closed heel area, antistatic construction, energy absorbing heel, water repellent upper, penetration resistant midsole and a cleated outsole. One model covers production, warehouse and outdoor walkways.
• 200 joules at the toe, stainless steel under the foot. The anatomically shaped steel toe cap is tested to EN ISO 20345:2012 at 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. The penetration resistant midsole of corrosion resistant stainless steel follows the last and is foamed into the midsole material.
• Waterproof full grain leather, around 2 mm thick. The full grain cowhide stays tight for hours without giving up breathability and keeps its shape. Below it works the outdoor outsole with 4.5 mm deep lugs and slip resistance SRC, the highest grade of the standard.
• Climate and cushioning for the full shift. The aktiv-X functional lining regulates moisture, does not stain and resists abrasion. The 3D cushioning system combines a pressure relieving insole with responsive MPU sole technology. The shoe is approved for orthopaedic insoles to DGUV Rule 112-191.
