ESD Safety Shoe XR 585 XP brown S3, nubuck leather, width 10, brown/black - Atlas 41500

The XR 585 XP brown ESD is the higher cut counterpart to the XR 485 with the same protection package. Aluminium toe cap, metal free XP penetration resistance and the XR sole system of a nitrile outsole and an MPU midsole. On top of that the ESD equipment that makes use inside a protected area to DIN EN 61340-5-1 possible in the first place.

What this model delivers

• Aramid fabric instead of a steel midsole. XP penetration resistance is built from a high tech textile with aramid fibres. Metal free, very light and flexible enough to follow the natural torsion of the foot without giving up protection against nails.
• 200 joules from aluminium. The anatomically shaped alu-tec toe cap meets the EN ISO 20345:2012 requirement of 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. Aluminium is lighter than steel and thermally neutral, so the cold stays outside in winter.
• Charge dissipation as part of the EPA. The ESD equipment prevents a voltage building up on the wearer that would drain the moment a hand reaches the assembly. That is the role the shoe plays in the protection concept to DIN EN 61340-5-1.
• XR sole system, made by direct moulding. The ergonomically profiled nitrile outsole delivers grip and abrasion resistance up to slip resistance class SRC. The MPU midsole absorbs energy and stabilises the foot on uneven ground.
• S3 in plain words. Antistatic, closed and energy absorbing heel area, water repellent upper, penetration resistance and a cleated outsole. This is the class for indoor and outdoor use.
• Leather, climate and cushioning. OILED nubuck leather of around 2 mm, water resistant and breathable, plus the MPU overcap against abrasion at the toe. The aktiv-X functional lining regulates moisture, the 3D cushioning system relieves the foot. Approved for insoles to DGUV Rule 112-191.
