Broad feet and penetration protection rule each other out in most ranges. The FLASH 6905 XP BOA solves that. Atlas certifies it to EN ISO 20345:2022 as S3S SR and offers it in standard width 10, in width 12 and in the special widths 13 and 14. Add the BOA Fit System in place of laces, the XR-MPU sole technology and a resistance below 100 MOhm to DIN EN 61340-5-1.
What the shoe delivers
- S3S is the toughest penetration test. Atlas certifies this model to EN ISO 20345:2022 as S3S SR. That covers everything in S2, including the water tested upper, plus a cleated outsole and a non metallic penetration barrier tested with the thin 3.0 mm nail instead of the 4.5 mm nail behind the P marking.
- Charge dissipation to DIN EN 61340-5-1. The shoe ties the wearer into the personnel grounding of the EPA. Atlas guarantees a resistance of less than 100 MOhm measured by the person shoe floor method. The plain antistatic requirement of EN ISO 20345 allows anything between 0.1 MOhm and 1000 MOhm. Component protection depends on the tighter figure, because only that prevents a discharge when someone picks up an assembly.
- Steel toe cap rated 200 joules. The anatomically shaped cap withstands at least 200 joules of impact and at least 15 kN of compression to EN ISO 20345. Two hundred joules is roughly 20 kilograms falling from one metre, the classic workpiece sliding off a bench.
- XR-MPU sole technology. Atlas does not use the standard sole here but the XR-MPU technology together with the MPU REBOUND SYSTEM. The pressure relieving insole and the responsive MPU cushioning absorb heel strike energy and feed it back into the roll of the foot instead of passing it into knees and back.
- Sportline upper and aktiv-X functional lining. The Sportline fabric is built from textile fibres, is highly air permeable and breathes well. The aktiv-X lining regulates moisture actively, does not stain, is kind to the skin and resists abrasion. In heated production halls that is what decides the eighth hour of a shift.
- BOA Fit System and four widths. The dial replaces the lacing and can be tightened one handed, gloves on, and released in one pull. On lasts this model goes furthest in the range: besides standard width 10 the manufacturer offers width 12 and the special widths 13 and 14. For workforces with very broad feet this is often the only model that fits at all. Approved for orthopaedic insoles under DGUV rule 112-191.

- DIN EN 61340-5-1, ESD compliant. Resistance measured by the person shoe floor method is less than 100 MOhm. The antistatic requirement of EN ISO 20345 is wider, between 0.1 MOhm and 1000 MOhm.
- Metal free penetration barrier, Atlas XP technology.
- PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, risk category 2.
- DGUV rule 112-191, suitable for orthopaedic insoles. The marking inside the shoe is what counts.
