Anyone on their feet for eight hours in production who also has a broad foot or wears an orthopaedic insole rarely finds room in a standard shoe. The ERGO-MED 500 is therefore built in the special width 13 and still meets the full protection class S3 to EN ISO 20345 including SRC slip resistance. For the ESD workplace Atlas guarantees the person-shoe-floor resistance to DIN EN 61340-5-1 at below 100 MOhm.

What sets this shoe apart

• Dissipative to DIN EN 61340-5-1. For its ESD models Atlas guarantees a resistance below 100 MOhm for the person-shoe-floor measuring chain. The wearer's charge drains through the sole into the dissipative floor instead of discharging into an assembly.
• Width 13 instead of the standard width 10, meaning three widths more volume across the ball and forefoot. Exactly the case when a broad foot is pinched by a standard shoe or an orthopaedic insole takes up extra room.
• Steel toe cap to EN ISO 20345, tested at 200 joules impact energy and 15 kN compression. The abrasion-resistant toe overlay slows wear at the tip during kneeling work.
• Puncture-resistant midsole of corrosion-resistant stainless steel. It is matched to the last and foamed into the midsole material, so it does not sit in the shoe as a rigid plate.
• Waterproof smooth leather from full grain cowhide about 2 mm thick, waterproof across the whole working day, breathable and dimensionally stable. The ankle-high shaft adds support on uneven ground.
• Outdoor sole technology with SRC slip resistance, tested on ceramic with detergent and on steel with glycerine. The 4.5 mm deep lug profile and the torsion element hold on wet ground as well.
• MPU REBOUND SYSTEM for cushioning. The midsole absorbs impact energy and returns it into the push-off, which noticeably relieves the gait in the eighth hour.
• Under DGUV rule 112-191 released not only for insoles but also for certified orthopaedic modifications. A shoe technician may carry out sole and heel elevations on this model.
• The aktiv-X functional lining regulates temperature and moisture, resists abrasion and does not bleed colour. After the shift the shoe dries out quickly.
