In summer and in warm production halls the closed shoe is often the problem rather than the answer. The Arizona PRO ESD is the Birkenstock two strap sandal in ESD design. Footbed and EVA outsole are both built in ESD design and tested to DIN EN 61340, so the wearer's charge drains in a controlled way even in open footwear.

What sets this model apart

• ESD protection through the cork latex footbed and the EVA outsole in ESD design, tested to DIN EN 61340. In an ESD protected area DIN EN 61340-5-1 requires the person, shoe and floor chain to stay below 100 MOhm so that sensitive components remain protected during handling.
• Anatomically shaped cork latex footbed, the Birkenstock original. It supports the longitudinal arch and spreads pressure over the whole sole area, which is what counts during long periods of standing.
• Upper made of particularly soft natural leather with a polyurethane coating in grey. The coating makes the leather more hard wearing and easier to clean than open pored natural leather.
• Two straps, each with its own metal pin buckle. Instep and forefoot can be adjusted separately, so the sandal sits firmly on differently shaped feet.
• Suede leather insole and a cushioning EVA outsole. The open construction keeps the foot dry in warm areas without extra ventilation.
• No toe cap and no safety class to EN ISO 20345 or EN ISO 20347. This model is pure ESD work footwear without mechanical foot protection.

Where it is used

Electronics manufacturing and placement in warm halls, laboratory, test and measurement benches, visual inspection and light assembly inside the ESD protected area. Not suitable where toe protection, puncture resistance or a closed shoe is required by the risk assessment.
