Vermason calibration unit for Compact and Hi-Speed/Hi-Accuracy wrist strap testers - Desco 222547

A personnel tester is only as reliable as its switching thresholds. With the Vermason 222547 calibration unit, the ESD coordinator can check on site whether a tester decides correctly just below and just above its limits. Six resistance steps with ±2 % accuracy cover the thresholds of the Compact and the Hi-Speed/Hi-Accuracy testers.

Applications

Connect the 10 mm lead of the calibration unit to the tester's wrist strap terminal, select a step and press the test probe onto the tester's contact plate. Work through each step and compare the display with the expected result. For the footwear circuit, the lead goes to the 10 mm socket of the foot plate lead, on Hi-Speed/Hi-Accuracy testers via the supplied adapter. Desco generally recommends an annual check, more often where sensitive parts are handled.
