Dry skin is a common reason why an operator fails the wrist strap or footwear test even though band and cord are fine. Reztore ESD Hand Lotion lowers skin resistance instead of insulating the skin the way ordinary lotions do. With a resistance Rp of 1 x 10⁶ ohms it improves the contact between skin and grounding device.

Applications

Put a small amount in the palm and rub it into dry skin, especially where the wrist strap sits. Wipe off any excess with a towel, put the strap on and repeat the test. The lotion is meant for hands and wrists, not for the face. Avoid contact with the eyes. Store sealed in the original bottle, there is no fixed shelf life.

Standards

EN 61340-5-2 calls for good skin contact of the wrist band, and the ESD Handbook TR20.20 names dry skin as a typical cause of high readings on wrist straps and footwear. The lotion therefore supports reliable personnel grounding to EN 61340-5-1.
