Moisture sensitive SMD components must stay dry and protected from electrostatic discharge until placement. The Desco Dri-Shield 2700 (SCS product line) does both: the metal layer shields discharges to below 10 nJ, and the moisture vapour transmission rate is < 0.03 g/100 in²/24 h. Size 405 x 455 mm, suited to trays, reels and larger assemblies.

Applications

Dry packing of moisture sensitive devices (SMT), PCBs and assemblies for storage and shipping. A complete dry pack consists of moisture barrier bag, desiccant and humidity indicator card. The bags are heat sealable and suitable for vacuum packaging.

ANSI/ESD S20.20, ANSI/ESD S541, ANSI/ESD S11.4 Level 3 (except transparency). The manufacturer also lists EIA 541, JESD625-A and EIA 583. Lead-free, RoHS 2, REACH and Conflict Minerals compliant.
