Sea Braid desoldering braids take up excess solder from pads and component leads during rework. They are woven from clean, oxide-free copper wire in a tight, fine pattern. A short length soaks up the solder, which keeps braid consumption per joint low.

Choose the width to match pad and lead size: narrow braid for fine SMD structures, wider braid for large lands and through-hole leads. The width can also be identified by the colour code of the bobbin.
